The children, divided by age and level of French proficiency, will be introduced to the gradual acquisition of spoken French through playful and mimed learning of songs and nursery rhymes.
For older children, the course can also be aimed at preparing for the first French language certification dedicated to primary school children aged 7 to 11: the DELF PRIM.

Quarterly courses
Students are divided into two groups based on their age and previous knowledge. The aim of these courses is not only to provide in-depth study of grammar and vocabulary, through the reading of short texts or current affairs articles suitable for a young audience; they also focus on oral expression. If their level allows, students can prepare for the DELF SCOLAIRE exams (February, May, or June 2026 sessions).
DURATION: 30 hours from 10/10 to 30/01/2026
DAY AND TIME: Friday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Elementary School Competition 2025 | Les Prim et la mascotte des sports d'hiver!
With the fifth edition of the competition for elementary schools, "Les Prim et la mascotte des sports d'hiver!" (Prim and the Winter Sports Mascot!), the Institut français Italia, with the support of the Alliances Françaises and France Éducation International, aims to offer children an opportunity to unleash their creativity, encouraging the learning of French in a fun and artistic way from early childhood.
Third, fourth, and fifth grade classes are invited to create the mascot in the form of an illustration, collage, or to make it three-dimensional, building it with plastic materials and techniques.

THE PLAY CENTRE REOPENS!
A space where children, accompanied by a leader, participate in fun activities taught exclusively in French. They play games, do creative activities, read or listen to stories, sing, and more. A new way to spend the afternoon while learning the French language.

Hourly rate: 10 euros
AFTER SCHOOL - HOMEWORK HELP
For middle school and high school students: homework, study, revision, and in-depth study with a native speaker.
SUMMER CAMP
in local schools
French-language summer camp "France at your fingertips"
The Alliance Française offers a week-long "suitcase-free study trip," full immersion in French, with fun and educational activities, theater, art attack, sports, and lots of fun...while staying in the city!
The animators, selected and trained by our association, are all strictly native speakers and follow the group (one for every 10 children) from 9:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
The course is open to all students with even basic knowledge of French. Two leaders are provided for a maximum of 20 students; three leaders for 30 students; and four leaders for 40 participants.
Since the activities will take place mostly outdoors, we recommend the presence and/or access to an enclosed courtyard/garden or gym. Lunch is provided as a packed lunch. At the end of the week, a large celebration will be organized in collaboration with the families and the school administration, featuring a French-language performance performed by the students and the awarding of participation certificates.
The cost for one week is €170 per child.
The activity will be activated only if a minimum number of 10 participants (with 1 animator) is reached.
FRENCH IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
French language workshops for elementary school children
As part of its efforts to promote the French language, the Alliance Française of Genoa is offering a training program for fourth- and fifth-year high school students and elementary school children. The program aims to create ever-closer connections with all levels of schools and give students the opportunity to combine knowledge and skills.
The project consists of holding fun French-language workshops in fourth- and fifth-grade elementary school classes, led by fourth- and fifth-year high school students (student tutors), who have received 10 hours of training from a teacher from the Alliance Française of Genoa, who specializes in teaching French to children. Student tutors participating in the project must have at least a B1 or B2 level of French, even if not certified. During the training, students are provided with tools, materials, and guidelines to enable them to independently complete the 10-hour workshops.
Project objectives
Stimulate children's interest in the French language and civilization, France, and Francophone culture. - Create interest in studying and learning a second foreign language. - Expand the learning process and locations, supporting orientation toward future choices and motivation to study.
Goals
Raising children's awareness of language learning through playful activities.
Offer elementary school children the opportunity to interact in the language with high school students (e.g., greeting, introducing themselves, asking and saying their name, creating a game or a simple animation).
To value, motivate, and guide student tutors, develop their skills in interacting with young students, and convey and practice the knowledge and linguistic skills they have acquired in an active context.
The asset is included in a PCTO.
Elementary school students are completely free to participate. The teaching activities performed by the High School's student tutors do not constitute an employment relationship but are intended as training aimed at achieving the curricular objectives set by the Class Council.

- 11 participating high schools (from Genoa - Rapallo – Savona – Cairo Montenotte – Albenga) with 162 trained interns
- 23 comprehensive institutes
- 76 classes (3rd-4th-5th grade)
- 608 hours of workshops led by interns
- Approximately 1530 children involved (calculated on an average of 20 pupils per class)

ZENAFLAM
The association, founded by a group of French parents living in Genoa, aims to establish the FLAM Français Langue Maternelle program in the city. The program, conceived and supported by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addresses the needs of French-speaking families living abroad to establish and/or maintain a connection with the French language and culture for their children.
Indeed, it has been observed that the "blood" bond with the minority language tends to weaken over time if it is not strengthened by exchanges outside the family, whether at school or after school. With the FLAM program, parents have the opportunity to transform their "born bilingual" children into "de facto bilinguals" through interaction with other children of similar age and proficiency levels in a playful, extracurricular context.

The first FLAM magazine is born!
We are proud to present the first edition of the magazine created by the children of FLAM, with the support of teachers Claudia, Louison, Thierry, and Lya.
In these 44 pages, the young editors have created a true magazine full of interviews, news, sports, exclusive photographs, curiosities and much more.
A wonderful project that allowed children to express their creativity and practice French in a fun and practical way.
