The courses, which follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), enable language learning and practice, with a focus on oral communication. The objectives are to consolidate fundamental grammatical and lexical structures and enhance comprehension and communication skills, leading to perfect fluency.
A free placement test allows students to be placed in the most suitable level for their preparation. The test can be taken remotely (use the form below) or on-site (Wednesdays from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm by appointment).
The courses are aimed at an audience of all ages (children, teenagers, adults) and take place over 3 sessions: October/January - February/April - May/July.
Our teachers are native speakers and highly specialized in teaching French as a foreign language. They offer innovative teaching methods and prepare students for the internationally recognized DELF and DALF certifications. By enrolling in our courses, you will also have access to our media library, with a vast selection of multimedia resources, and you can participate in numerous cultural events throughout the year, immersing yourself in French culture. The annual membership fee of €50 and teaching materials are not included in the fee.

The Federation of Alliances Françaises d'Italia is accredited by the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) for the training of school staff pursuant to Ministerial Directive No. 170/2016. Therefore, you can use the Teacher Card and the Youth Culture and Merit Card for your training, French courses, and language certifications at the Alliance Française in Genoa.

QUARTERLY COURSES
(2 sessions per year

Course objective: In-depth study of grammar and vocabulary, through the reading of short texts or current affairs articles suitable for a young audience, will also emphasize oral expression. If their level permits, students will be able to prepare for the DELF SCOLAIRE exams (February 2026 or June 2026 sessions).
Students are divided into groups according to their age and initial preparation.

COURSES FOR CHILDREN
ANNUAL COURSES FROM 6 TO 11 YEARS
Course objective: Children, divided by age and level of French proficiency, will be introduced to the gradual acquisition of spoken French through playful and mimed learning of songs and nursery rhymes.
For older children, the course can also be aimed at preparing for the first French language certification dedicated to primary school children aged 7 to 11: the DELF PRIM.

DISTANCE LEARNING COURSES
INDIVIDUAL COURSE ON THE PLATFORM WITH A TUTOR
A 14-week educational program (approximately 60 hours of lessons) entirely online and completely autonomous from level A1 to C1.
COST: €590 €50 annual membership fee
COURSE PROGRAM:
- A level test and a telephone interview to validate it
- 6 teaching units per module accessible online with unlimited access
- Each unit is characterized by: written and oral comprehension and expression, exercises
- Grammar books with explanatory cards, videos, final unit summary
- Pedagogical and motivational monitoring by the tutor: personalized advice,
- Correcting assignments, participating in the forum (accessible to all members of the same level)
- 12 guaranteed 45-minute individual interviews with the tutor via Skype (once a week)
- A final written and oral evaluation
Access to the platform will be possible the day after payment for the course has been made.

TEACHER TRAINING
The "Parcours Culture 2025-2026" is open to all members and supporters of the Alliances Françaises d'Italia. Its goal is to share cultural activities taking place locally with the national network, building community and bringing together the various local associations.
The "Parcours Culture 2025-2026" is ALSO a training program for teachers and school staff, and as such is an integral part of the educational offering of the Federation of Alliances Françaises d'Italia.
It includes 40 hours of training, consisting of live webinars and the use of the course's teaching materials by members in the dedicated space on the MOODLE platform of formation.continue of the Italian AF Federation.

PLEASE NOTE: Teachers and school staff who are members of an Alliance Française can validate their training hours for FREE. Teachers and school staff who are not members of an Alliance Française can validate the 40 hours of training upon registration.
No fee is required for all students who participate in the training as part of the PCTO school programs. Upon completion of the program, after validation by the supervisor, participating classes will receive a certificate of attendance issued by the Federation of Alliances Françaises d'Italia.

COMPANY SPECIAL
The courses are aimed at those who need to use French in a professional context and require a personalized course to achieve results quickly.
Furthermore, those wishing to demonstrate their French proficiency can, once they have achieved the level they have achieved, take the DELF and DALF exams, the French language certifications recognized worldwide and for which the Alliance Française is the provincial examination center.
PERSONALIZED EDUCATIONAL PROPOSAL
The objectives, content, and methods are set by the teacher in collaboration with the company, based on the assessment test (administered at the beginning of the course) and the desired level of French. The curriculum is tailored to the company's industry.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

The aim of the courses, which are structured around the four skills (written comprehension and production / oral comprehension and production), is as follows:

FLEXIBILITY
Teachers are available Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm and on Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
In case of cancellation, at least 24 hours' notice is required.
As regards the organisation of the courses, we offer two options:

At Via Garibaldi, 20, where participants can take advantage of the school's educational facilities (a media library with more than 10,000 French-language documents, including books, audiobooks, teaching materials, VHS and DVDs of films and documentaries, magazines, etc.)
AT YOUR COMPANY
To best meet the needs of working hours.
The lesson schedule and calendar are established at the beginning of the course based on the company's work needs and the objectives to be achieved.
EVALUATIONS

At the end of the course, an individual report of the results obtained is given to the training manager and to each participant.
Attendance reports are monthly but a different deadline can be agreed upon at the company's request.
OTHER SERVICES
The Alliance Française also offers a certified translation service by professional native-speaker translators (legal, commercial, technical, scientific, and editorial translations).
